The simple rules of Researchette membership: what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.

About Researchette

Researchette is a medical research mentorship programme. Members follow step-by-step lessons in the member portal, submit their work for each step, and receive feedback from a mentor. By applying or using the portal, you agree to these terms.

Applying and membership

  • You apply through the form on the website. We review each application and may accept or decline it.
  • The information you give must be true and your own.
  • After acceptance, we send payment details. Your portal login is created once payment is confirmed.
  • Your login is for you only. Don’t share it with anyone.

Fees and refunds

The founding-batch membership fee is Rs 2,000. Prices for later batches may be higher; the price you’re offered when you apply is the price you pay.

If you change your mind, contact us within 7 days of paying and before you submit your first task, and we’ll refund you in full. After that, fees are not refundable, because mentor time has already been given to your work.

Your work and academic honesty

  • You write your own work. Mentors guide and correct; they do not write papers, synopses or theses for you.
  • Don’t submit work copied from others, or text written by someone else, as your own.
  • Follow your institution’s rules and research ethics, including ethics committee approval and patient consent where needed.
  • Never submit information that could identify a patient (names, record numbers, photos of faces) unless it’s properly anonymised.

Who owns what

Your work stays yours. You keep full ownership of everything you write. We only use it to review it and give you feedback.

The lessons, guides, examples and templates on Researchette belong to Researchette. You may use them for your own learning and research, but please don’t copy, resell or republish them.

What we can and can’t promise

We guide you through every step, including choosing a journal, submitting and replying to reviewers. Whether a paper is accepted is always the journal’s decision, so we can’t guarantee publication. Feedback is usually given within 48 hours, but this can vary.

Our guidance is educational. It is not medical advice and does not replace your supervisor, your institution or an ethics committee.

Using the portal

  • Be respectful to mentors and other members.
  • Don’t try to access other accounts or data, or disrupt the website.
  • We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, including plagiarism or abuse, without a refund.

Limits

We work hard to keep the portal running and our guidance accurate, but the website is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, Researchette isn’t responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the fee you paid.

Changes

We may update these terms as the programme grows. We’ll change the date at the top, and tell members by email about important changes. Continuing to use the portal after a change means you accept the new terms.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If something goes wrong, please talk to us first at itszainr1@gmail.com or WhatsApp 0339 5888444. Most things can be sorted out quickly.
